His experience includes management roles at adventure tourism businesses both nationally and internationally and senior instructor roles at a number of outdoor centres. He was previously with the New Zealand Defence Force, where he spent eight years leading adventure activities while facilitating leadership development programmes.

When he is not adventuring in the outdoors, he can be found teaching his kids to ski and ride or hanging out with family and friends.
