New Zealand Certificate in Sport, Exercise, and Leisure Operations (Player Development) (Level 3)
Playing sport at an elite level is a great career, but it doesn't last forever. This programme helps players learn more about themselves, their sport and their long-term ambitions.
By completing the Player Development programme, you will learn and demonstrate transferable skills that are valued by employers across te ahumahi ā-rēhia, the active recreation, leisure and entertainment sectors.

To enrol in this programme, you need to be a player with an eligible organisation, working in a paid role, self-employed, or as a volunteer with regular and consistent shifts.
This 40-credit qualification is designed to be completed in about 10 months.
You'll be trained, observed and assessed in the workplace.

- Health, safety and injury prevention
- Professionalism
- Managing your own personal health and wellbeing.
Achieving the Player Development Programme is equivalent to achieving the New Zealand Certificate in Sport, Exercise and Leisure Operations.
