Te Mahi Ako is proud to offer Building Foundations, a nationwide scholarship initiative for ākonga | learners enrolling in our NZ Certificate in Entertainment and Event Operations Level 3 or NZ Certificate in Exercise Foundations Level 3. This initiative offers zero-fee enrolment and fully subsidised assessments to make career progression accessible for everyone in the active recreation, leisure, and entertainment industries.
Applications close at 5PM, Tuesday 1 October, or when the funding allocation has been exhausted – whichever comes sooner.
Zero fees for enrolment. Access quality educational programmes to train your employees without financial burden.
Fully subsidised assessments. We cover the assessment costs, ensuring no additional expenses for employers.
Workforce development. Improve your team’s capabilities and overall business performance.
- Assessment costs covered for learners during programme duration only.
- Ākonga must meet all relevant Tertiary Education Commission learner eligibility requirements.
- Enrolments must be received by 5PM Tuesday 1 October 2024.
- Complete enrolment checks. Workplaces must be registered with us prior to enrolling any ākonga
- If your workplace is not already registered, review our workplace relationship agreement and ensure you can meet these responsibilities and commitments
- Submit your Building Foundations application. Email info@temahiako.org.nz, using the subject line ‘Building Foundations enquiry’, to have one of our team contact you directly
- Ākonga enrolment. Once your Building Foundations application is approved, ākonga can enrol as normal through the enrolment portal on the Te Mahi Ako website.
To be eligible for a Building Foundations scholarship, all enrolments must be received by 5PM Tuesday, 1 October 2024.
