How it works

This qualification is structured through two micro-credentials: Piki Ake and Kake Ake. You can choose to complete the full NZ Certificate in Tikanga (Mātauranga Māori) - Level 2, or enrol in either Piki Ake or Kake Ake as standalone micro-credentials.

  • The role of manaaki and pōwhiri in community and workplace settings.

Kake Ake: Laying the foundations

  • Hui tikanga: Karakia and waiata

  • Exploring Māori narratives (pūrākau)

  • Understanding Te Ao Māori values.
