Caroline Jenkins has dedicated over 20 years to inspiring movement, mentoring instructors, and redefining fitness potential. As a certified Aqua Fitness professional and creator of Aqua Zone Fitness, she is passionate about helping people feel strong and empowered in the water. Beyond leading high-energy classes, Caroline mentors instructors, boosting their confidence and skills. As a national and international presenter, she has shared her expertise at fitness conferences and training events, unlocking each instructor’s unique superpower through innovative techniques.

Gaining her qualification gave Caroline credibility, confidence, career opportunities, and expertise. She believes that passion meets professionalism, allowing instructors to excel, inspire others, and make a meaningful impact in the world of Aqua Fitness. Throughout her journey, she received invaluable support from Wellington City Council’s Club Active’s WCC manager Gillian Christian, Te Mahi Ako’s Angela Robinson and Linda Dorrington, and Kāpiti Coast District Council’s Zuri Brudenell who were always available to answer questions and provide guidance. Despite her busy schedule, she remained committed to her training by setting aside dedicated study time each week. Challenges such as documentation uploads were made easier with the help of her assessor.

Now a qualified Aqua Fitness instructor, Caroline has deepened her understanding of techniques, safety, and effective choreography, allowing her to teach with greater confidence and authenticity. Her expertise and passion are recognised on an international level as she is invited to present at the Aqua Alliance Summit in Sydney in October 2025. She will be sharing her "Mastering Aqua Fitness: Preparation is Everything" masterclass, demonstrating how science-backed choreography and preparation enhance participant engagement and instructor confidence. Her session includes Aqua Zone Classic, a fun, nostalgic workout featuring hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as well as Aqua Zone, a high-energy, uplifting workout designed to invigorate participants.

Caroline encourages others to take the leap into upskilling, setting clear goals, and committing to the journey. She believes that taking the first step is always the hardest, but a qualification can open doors to new career opportunities and personal growth. Looking ahead, she is focused on expanding her skills and qualifications to elevate her teaching and grow Aqua Zone Fitness, maximising her impact in the evolving fitness industry.
