Fees adjustments

Kia ora koutou,

From 1 January 2026, Te Mahi Ako introduced new fees and made updates to several existing fees to ensure we can continue to provide consistent, high-quality support for learners and workplaces. These updates reflect the rising cost of delivering robust learner support, assessment services, and programme administration.

The changes are:

Over-duration Support Fee (new)

This fee applies when a learner continues in their programme beyond the planned duration. It reflects ongoing coaching, pastoral support, and administration required to assist them through to completion.

Unfunded Enrolment Fee (new)

This fee applies to enrolments not covered by government funding through the New Zealand Qualifications Framework. It enables cost recovery for the support, administration, and programme delivery required for these learners.

Enrolment fee adjustment

Our standard and foundation programme enrolment fees will increase modestly for the first time in two years, ensuring they remain aligned with the cost of delivering high-quality training and learner support

If you have any questions or would like support understanding how these updates apply to your organisation or learners, please get in touch.

Ngā mihi,

Te Mahi Ako
