Darren has recently joined the Te Mahi Ako team as a resource developer. Darren has spent 16 years with Hato Hone St John within their training team. He has experience as a facilitator and a resource developer both in the mental health and first aid space. Prior to moving to Aotearoa, Darren was a registered Social Worker specialising in abuse investigations and mental health. 

Darren enjoys the diversity of people in the workplace and is very passionate about equity in education. When not working, Darren can be found in one of three places. The kitchen, enjoying cooking not the cleaning, the gym, and in front of the TV, supporting very loudly his football team (Liverpool Football Club).
